OM1 Module

Oncology Massage Module 1

OM1 is just the beginning of your Oncology Massage training.

You will learn at your pace through our online, fully supported learning and then attend face to face for the practical techniques.

E-Learning: over 4 weeks

In-person Learning: 2 days (Saturday and Sunday)

This course has no prerequisites and is suitable for anyone to attend. We keep our course sizes small; with only 6-12 participants on each course, there’s plenty of opportunity for questions and individual feedback from your facilitators.

While OM1 was originally designed for massage and tactile therapists, it’s also become popular among people without a massage background who wish to better inform their work as volunteer in a healthcare setting, or support friends or family members experiencing health challenges. Please note: you will be required to both give and receive hands on therapy during the course.

Register for OM1 and discover the incredible benefits of oncology massage techniques in a supportive, nurturing environment.

Each OM1 participant is assessed for their suitability for this kind of work, and OM2 has additional prerequisites, including a recognised touch therapy qualification.

OM1 Refresher

Anyone who has previously attempted OM1 - successfully or unsuccessfully - is welcome to attend any OM1 course as a refresher. It is no different in any material way from OM1, except that it is half-price. If you fall into any of the Categories listed below, we strongly recommend that you take advantage of this generous opportunity:

  • OM1 graduates who wish to proceed to OM2 but who have had little or no opportunity to practise their OM1 techniques, and/or completed OM1 more than 3 years ago.
  • OM2 graduates who have had little or no opportunity to practise their OM1 techniques and/or completed OM2 more than 3 years ago.
  • Previously unsuccessful OM1 students who need to successfully complete OM1 and then OM2 so that they can start working in this field.
